The first and most crucial step is to create a well-structured training plan. Even if you’re new and don’t yet have a boat, a teammate, or know the specifics of what to work on, a plan will help you make the most of your time and demonstrate commitment when seeking support.

  1. Define Your Time Commitment: Decide on the number of hours you can dedicate over the coming season. For example, if you’re aiming for 250 hours, break it down monthly or weekly to keep yourself on track. If you can, you should go as far as to schedule the days that you’ll be on the water and the number of hours that you plan to get on those days.
