Summer days are getting shorter, part timers are headed back to school, and the regatta season has wound down for a few months. This presents a great opportunity to get out there and train by yourself, focus on new skill development, and make sure that you come out swinging in March. Here's the current winter calendar and some thoughts beyond.

One of the big differences between Olympic Classes and junior classes, is that at the higher level, someone is training every day (even if it's not listed on this calendar)! If you're a new team, it's up to you to figure out how many days you can commit to being on the water, then reach out and find out who will be sailing.
2019 Outlook
The 2019 calendar is currently in the works, but with the Worlds in New Zealand in November, and the Europeans mid May (9-13) in Weymouth, we have some big gaps to fill in May, June and July. We're currently working on a master plan to focus resources in San Francisco for the summer, with regattas likely in Newport, RI in July and Canada in August. We will have more information and exact dates for domestic summer training in the next month. In August, top teams will be headed to Japan for the beginning of the US Olympic Trials, and to keep learning the Olympic waters, and to Peru for the Pan Am Games. One thing is for sure, we'll have a lot of skiff sailing abroad as well as close to home next summer, so plan accordingly. Stay tuned for updates, as the program gets solidified.
