Willie comes from a dinghy sailing background with top finishes in the 29er, I420, 470, and Melges 20 classes, and time campaigning in the 49er class. From 2015-2019, Willie was the youngest member of the US Sailing Team Olympic Coaching staff. From professional sailing, to writing for Sailing World Magazine, to coaching Paris Henken and Helena Scutt at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio De Janiero, Willie has a wide range of experience across the sport.

Willie continues to race on the professional sailing circuits, while focusing most of his time on coaching and building winning programs.
